Kudos to The Guardian for once - their headline photo shows Sinwar making a rather fitting hand gesture:

hugopal First and last time he’ll be doing that.

mono-stereo That chap with the AK47 managed to pair his his balaclava with a head band in a lovey shade of green. I’ve added the pic to @Millsy’s new kitchen reno pinterest inspo board.

The headband would pair marvellously with Ed’s kermit sneakers.

Israeli’s released drone footage of last moments of Sinwar overnight - pretty mad concept being hunted down by a drone 😬

      Lol!

Mad_Cyril what’s mental is this tactic never works in reality, kill one head and several more spawn in their place that are more dangerous and unpredictable

Hursty The idea is to eliminate them as a race in complete totality. There won’t be anyone left to fight.

Thanks chaps. Was a more an observation on the dystopian nature of the footage than a rumination on the morality conflict at large.

I’ve no idea who this guy is, but Youtube offered him up tonight and what he’s saying makes sense.

          a month later

ICC arrest warrant out for Netenyoohooo.

          That’ll really teach him

The Stasi trained regime in Syria on its knees. The Israelis and Yanks really are cleaning house. I think the Mullahs are firmly in their sights. Grind down the Russians so they can’t support them and then lash them out of it, there’ll be nothing Putin can do to support them, not that he gives a fuck about them anyway. Mafioso only think of themselves in the end.

Putin’s forces were there more for PR purposes and had a fairly minimal presence. Hezbollah were the biggest contingent holding up the crumbling Asad regime as part of the Iranian commitment to upholding the Syrian regime. Turkey were holding HTS off while hoping to form better relations with the Asad regime, but Asad dragged his heels and Erdogan essentially paved the way. The Asad regime has just melted away with each contact HTS made.

The Free Syrian Army (FSA) are now reanimated and SDR (essentially the PKK/YPG) continue to hold Raqqa. The Asad regime now just hold the nominally alawite territorries.
