Glastonbury was brilliant - was hardly at the tent, was out and about a ridiculous amount.
Highlights were Sofia Kourtesis, Paul Heaton and Craig Richards doing the Fabric 25th thing B2B with Francesco Del Garda (absolutely fucking mint on a small stage outside at Assembly in Silver Hayes - banger central). New stuff were Baxter Drury and Justice (they were great live, but listening on the way home, they’re bang average)
Fatboy Slim was surprisingly good after the shocker last year. Groove Armada awful both times I saw them, the first time back to back with a clown called Eats Everything - ruined every moment with all sorts of errors - bad mixing, wrong key, forgetting to bring the bass in, that sort of thing - the cunt doesn’t ever use headphones - a recipe for disaster.
The worst thing was way, way too many scousers. The place was rammed - too many people - anyone without a wristband was a scouser. Anyone pushing around the place, pushing in at bars, birds with massive lips sucking on balloons, and generally being a bit of a cunt not interested in the music was a fucking scouser. It felt like about 30% of the people - it was awful for that and they need to do something about it. Doesn’t help that a huge percentage of security people were also scouse.
