The Auteurs and Echobelly were two great indie bands that never really got the recognition they deserved.

Along_the_Wire The Auteurs - yes. Echobelly were very poor, in the Britpop next-to-bottom rung with Shed Seven and Sleeper (just above Cast and Northern Uproar).
Mars Volta and Deftones.
The Beatles.
