Toss up between Blur’s ballad of Darren and Leftfield’s this is what we do for album’s I have listened to most this year

Mix and clubbing event of the year
      Bedrock 25 at XOYO

        alistair Jonathan Kaspar

Producer of the year imo. His mixes are really good too.

At the coal face mix - Henry Saiz in Liverpool - as good as Bedrock 25 was, it was more of a retrospective mix and I don’t think Diggers ever went into top gear except for maybe the last hour. Saiz was mint - ‘Ibiza for a day’ was pretty much how the day panned out. Loved it.

Mix - Nicolas Rada - live at the metropolitano, Digweed warm up set. No idea why but I keep coming back to this mix. Just really chilled with cracking tuneage - reminds of a Jozif set.

Board member mix - one of Damo’s.

EDM Album - James Holden - Imagine this is a high dimensional space of all possibilities (yeah, I’m surprised at this one)
Non EDM Album - The DMA’s - How many dreams?

Tunes - no idea - not been keeping track.

SM001 thought that Kaspar-mix was from last year, but yeah it’s special.

I’ll be doing the tracks into a mix as usual. Album-wise it’s the two new The National-albums for me. First Two Pages of Frankenstein especially.

Homegrove I bounced off FTPOF really hard since ‘Tropic Morning News’ was how I found it and it’s the only upbeat track on a pretty morose album but came back to it later in the year - it’s really good but I think ‘Laugh Track’ is the better album.

Wally yep Holden’s was an excellent album. His best for about 20 years

7th Jan’23. He plays an all nighter there every year. Hopefully the next one is recorded too.

SM001 I find his remixes and productions are not bad but his mixes are absolutely awful aside form that 9 hr one which wasnt bad from memory.

seanc80 Good track selection and well mixed. Whats not to like?

Although his recent remix of Rex The Dog wasn’t great. Then again the original was shite to begin with.

I find his track selections on his mixes are by and large , not for me.

Wally Agree with that. It would be a toss up between the National at Ally Pally and Leftfield on Saturday for gig of the year. Biggest disappointment was Aphex Twin who sucked
