    Seems a terrible PR move by the Tories to have scheduled the election on ‘Independence Day’.

      Hursty I know but it’s still an obvious marketing message to push by the likes of Labour and the optics won’t be great - the US independence day is still typically a news item in the UK and a date most Brits will be familiar with.

      “Make July 4th the UK’s very own ‘Independence Day’”
      “Free yourself from Tory rule on July 4th”
      etc. etc.

              Dubman Loads of self-employed people got zero help

              A lot of those were the ones not making any money for decades to avoid paying money to the taxman.

                      I think you also had to start your business within a certain time. A few years I believe. I know some people who worked throughout the whole pandemic and still claimed thousands from the government.
