  • Election 2024: The Fate of Democracy

The all stick, attack on the young National Service gimmick/policy announced at the same time as ensuring pensioners’ triple lock will be further protected (presumably on the back of the same young peoples’ taxes) is plain wrong. Time for a change.

Her treatment by the leadership seems very harsh especially when they rolled out the red carpet for Tory defecting Brexiteer Elphicke

This thread’s gone to shit since @zackster left the building.

Needs you back at the wheel buddy!

alistair she is fucking useless though. Not saying that she deserved whatever the abuse was, but if the Labour Party want to be successful in the GE, bringing her back isn’t exactly a positive move!

RichM They’ve restored the whip, but aren’t allowing her to stand in the GE

EDIT : Starmer now isn’t sure whether she’s blocked from standing. Piss up / brewery…

The way Starmer has ostracised the left of his party will likely come back to bite him in the future. Just give the woman her job back and move on.

But didn’t you see yesterday? He’s a socialist. Self-proclaimed. That’ll dampen down the ire of the left…

The vids from the D-Day anniversary of Biden are nuts, he can barely function.

Hursty surely his wife’s got power of attorney over him. He’s a vegetable.

Nige having just seen Sean’s trabs…

I haven’t had a drink in nearly six months, but I can see myself getting a slab in on election night. Watching the Tories scare monger the electorate today with the ‘unchecked power’ line… you know it’s gonna be a hoot!

Amps I haven’t had a drink in nearly six months,

Fair play Amps, that’s a great effort.

How do you feel out of interest?

Amps I wouldn’t get too carried away mate by their “ming vase strategy”. They’ve basically promised to stick to Tory tax and spending in the next parliament and they despise the left.

No Sky TV yet managed to finance multiple kids through private school

We’re all proud of you mate, that should count for something ✊

Hursty its all about the SACRIFICE. Watch the VAT on the fees though mate. OUCH!

Just Ed Davey being a prized BERK again

The absolute front of Tom Tugendhat saying don’t judge us on in our past but judge us on our future. Fewmin.

Fair play, in the grand scheme of dumb decisions made by politicians in recent years, this guy has made a late surge to top the lot. All for the sake of a few £hundred. Unbelievable. Even for a Conservative MP it’s a new low.

alistair If I do watch, it’ll only be for the schadenfreude. I know what we’re getting.

Amps He’s a Tory in Labour clothing.

                  Amps

What the fuck are they going on about?

I always have to say and remind myself how stupid most people are.

ehitach2 What the fuck are they going on about?

They can’t bring themselves to tell the truth that they hate poor people and foreigners.

ehitach2 I always have to say and remind myself how stupid most people are.

I’m almost certain they’re getting stupider though.

Amps its bananas how they think Starmer is out for himself which suggests the Tories by default are out for everyone but themselves. There needs to be studies done on the brains of these people, its not stupidity, it has to be some sort of undiagnosed illness that we can all learn from.

This is just missing an “Abosh!” at the end:
