rhouses apparently lot of people coming out of relationships post lockdown - latter just accelerated the demise of some… I’m hearing from mates that people are definitely dating and it’s easier when the weather’s good as it is here generally at mom… come September and October, and the second wave, fck knows! Anyway, I’m optimistic - first time since my divorce that I haven’t had shit weighing on me….

When mysinglefriend first came about I went out on loads of dates and had tonnes of success, was filling my boots left, right and centre.
I had a fair few reg’s too though.

There was a point at which I was going on a couple of dates a week and getting really tired of it tbh…. I’m pretty polite to women so if I turn up and I know instantly I’m not into her, I won’t let on and I’ll stay for a drink…. got a mate who checks them out from 20-30 metres and makes a run for it if he doesn’t like the look of what he sees 
Met my wife on FitnessSingles. It was a bit before Tinder thankfully.
I’ve met a few bunny boilers on Tinder and some crackers too, its a minefield no matter what way you attack it.
Getting married next year myself but if I was still single I’d be getting a bit more adventurous at my age - like going to Colombia and getting involved in cocaine orgies. They’re the kind of memories you’ll appreciate when you’re 75. Not dating headcase divorcees who find the pin to your phone by the track marks on the screen and then go on to send threatening messages to your ex. (Yeah, that happened.)

What happened I hear you ask?
I went travelling round Central and South America for 8 months and it was curtains.
I’m going to get on Bumble and Hinge and start suaving the treacles in their late 20’s.
I’ve tried most….all are horrendous. I liked Bumble best because the women have to make the first move, but there are creeps and weirdos on all platforms. I’m still on and off again with someone I met on Plenty of Fish, but he’s still back in Florida, so we’re sorta on a break now. Honestly, I just don’t have the energy to deal with that swamp at the moment. I’m on an indefinite break from “dating”.
Never used any of them. All sound awful so feel lucky I haven’t needed to.
Found the quality of women on Plenty of Fish dire… probably a UK thing. These apps are hard work though, especially for blokes - you need to stand out.. just saying “Hi how you doing” is going to get you nowhere.
My opening line’s going to be ’You’ve got one shot at this, don’t waste it.'
Bumble was started by a lass who used to be on the Tinder board of directors but got forced out by the blokes. Trufax.

…. I know this sounds very fluffy but imo most of us are wired to enjoy sex with someone we know well rather than strangers - the thrill of casual sex dies when you’ve had enough of it
