NasserAlazzawi Soundgarden stage made life difficult. It had a good lineup in the prog/melodic house scene and plenty stayed there but clearly the bigger headliners were all piled into the outdoor stage.
Herein lies the rub.
Because Soundgarden had a ceiling and walls, the sound hit you better - [15 points]
It was able to be decorated and have DMX lights above you plus a range of ‘garden’ decor like you expect from SG [10 points]
They also reinforced more funktion 1s to near the ‘open exit’ where there was a spillout terrace creating an entirely different outdoor club feel with the sun on you - yet you could clearly see ‘inside the club’ - i’d never seen a layout like this before and sometimes we stood quite far back with the sound crystal clear. At the outdoor exit / terrace they also had higher up stages where people were standing and dancing on (no barriers). I was thinking surely security is going to ask them to get down but many were literally still there 5 hours later - I like this type of freedom / relaxedness about a club and having people surrounding you all up for it just added to the vibe [20 points]
I can’t be 100% but I hope that place IS actually a standalone venue and they built the rest of the festival - I’d love to go back just to that.
Did you type all those notes on the venue from your laptop fixed to your body tethered to 5G?!
