I think this so called melodic house is all starting to sound the same. It’s one of reasons I don’t buy singles anymore. I’d much rather buy an artist album where the music is more diverse. Sometimes I’ll buy an album and not like it straight away only to go back to it a while later & love it. I just don’t get that anymore with singles.

Dubman I’d agree with you on this point. Some of the most satisfying longer term listening experiences I have had recently have been with albums. Rodriguez Jr Bliss, Kohra Akho to name two.

Dubman the amount of times I have gone back to Singularity, Consoles and Compro is another case in point and they were all 2018

strummer I’d say it is arguably the greatest. Other great second albums would also have to include Power Corruption and Lies.

oh and Music for the Jilted Generation and Dig your own hole.

One of the songs of the summer for this Weller fan

I can’t stop listening to this tune. David Bowie’s cameo vocals during the climax of the song are incredible.

mono-stereo Love Arcade Fire, their Everything now arena tour was spectacular. Stage set up as a boxing ring in the middle, Regina dancing away in the crowd to Electric Blue. Amazing atmosphere

Dan init. That second bridge section starting at 4:45 is brilliant.

Dan I think the reason it’s so fucking good is that it’s a classic call and response between Bowie and the lead singer, where bowie keeps saying:
“Thought you would bring me to the resurrector?”

“Always an event when we put him on the radio…..give it up, John Digweed”

hopefully the album will be as good as the three pre released tracks

an oldie but a goodie (for me):

Our man Diggers played that on NYE at a huge club in LA. Sounded behemoth on that sound system. I was spackered.

EDIT and now that I think about it, was that the last good track those two ever made? Blades seemed to have hung it up; Lake went for the payday.

Two nice pop tunes to cheer up a miserable week. For the latter, I would buy pretty much anything Suzanne Kraft releases sound unheard.
