…listened to a few of the DJH podcasts, some decent guests, even though the shonky production has always jarred with me a bit (its an audio format, about music that you listen to, sort it out FFS!)
Anyhoo, listened to this one while decorating today… not sure anyone has straddled or been as influential in so many different eras of dance music as Neil Rushton. Northern Soul Dj/promoter, the first person to import/introduce Detroit techno, put rave music into the charts etc. etc. The early Network comps (particularly the ‘Bio-Rhythm- Dance Music with Beeps’ series) were massive for me when I first moved to London and started going out.
