Never actively listened to NIN apart from playing Quake. Just seemed to be noise

Took a client to go see them at the O2 back in 2009, sat in the Philips corporate box. Gary Newman came on and sang ‘Cars’ with them. Didn’t really care for NIN. I was there for the support act, Jane’s Addiction.

I’m surprised Ed hasn’t tried to claim Pappa Smalls, was the ghost writer behind ‘hurt’ yet.

ScottBailey I was at that gig, Jane’s Addiction were fairly decent from memory, but NIN were shit. Not sure why I went as wasn’t my kind of music

Have a word FFS Grant, you liked Lush but not Jane’s Addiction?

Perry Farrell was probably 50% responsible for Lush’s brief popularity in the US by putting them on the Lollapalooza bill.

Just Because is a fucking belter. Didn’t Perry like his Prog or have i imagined that?

Dry-Tinder I’m surprised Ed hasn’t tried to claim Pappa Smalls, was the ghost writer behind ‘hurt’ yet.

Not his bag, manufactured pop bands however…

Farrell is an interesting one. Loved this from a few years back:

Smallman1 Not his bag, manufactured pop bands however…

Snr missed a trick not getting you into a boy band. Just imagine what could have been. Screaming dorises following you everywhere, rolling out of The End looking worse for wear, the “is he isn’t he” rumours in the the media, splitting from the band because they didn’t want to go in the wrecking ball prog direction. The nearly tragic event when a misunderstanding over a soufflé sans cheese led to a “touch and go” near death stay in hospital. Not to mention the autobiography dedicated to a mysterious builder that took 3 years to write one page.
