Unbroken1

I was expecting this thread to be about something else so hadn’t bothered checking it out until now.

Congrats Unbroken!

Waxx is really not for me with those latin guitars and that style of syncopated synths, but Miragem is an enjoyable listen and builds really well. Both tracks are also clearly very well produced.

Major kudos to you.

PS - is your surname really ‘Chicken’?!

Smallman1 How do I transfer from phone to here?

He may be Tooting’s top suaver, but he’s a few slices short of a loaf.

Ed Smallman, ladies and gents!

Really love Miragem as it’s a nice warm blend that’s reminiscent of Uran Torque releases which I adored meeting Kollektiv Turmstrasse kinda pads & drums finished off with Spooky melodies.

It’s very much your sound that you’ve created in your sets.

Dan …that’s a lovely review Dan, really appreciate that. Nothing there that I’ve consciously done, but all labels/artists that I’ve got a huge amount of time for, so if I’ve evoked any of that I’m well chuffed!

Definitely think that Miragem is the more Marmite of the tracks- quite a few people have said that Waxx reminds them of v early chuggy Guerrilla-ish progressive, which I’m also pretty happy with as I feel much more affinity with that (and ‘proper’ house) than the later, trancier stuff.

I’m realising that Its weird when tracks get picked-up because your perspective on them changes so much in the time it takes for them to surface…. have quite a few others ready to go, and think I’ve learned so much since putting these together, no idea how they’ll be received or where they’ll end up!

      Spot on, mate.

Without sounding too ridiculous, when someone on here makes something that is both really good and gets noticed, we all want to get behind it.

It must be really lovely when someone like Digweed plays a record that you’ve made, an honour and an achievement and when someone does it who contributes so much to the board, it makes it even better.

Cap doffed to Damo who this message is primarily aimed at, but also to Grant and Zackster too.

Christ I’m choking up here! (not a euphemism)

Smallman1 Zach and Damo take the plaudits for our effort, especially Damo getting it on Diggers’ and Catteneo’s radio show. Absolutely fucking brilliant moments in life.
