Likewise. One plan I have for a mix is ’poolside/daytime/laidback housey stuff.

Most of the stuff in here is way too fast though!!

Mad_Cyril Hadnt posted on here as didn’t think was cool enough

LOL.

Matt oh man, that kinobe track takes me back! Loved that one. Although I prefer the Flying High Vocal mix

  • Matt replied to this.

    Great picks, Matt.

    A huge fav of mine

Kells77 Yeah brings back good memories for me too. I did think to myself that I should have posted the vocal mix, It’s probably a bit more summery.

Matt Anyone have a digi copy of the vocal mix? Great pick btw, Matt. Haven’t heard it in years.

SM001 I have a 192k version. Not the best, obviously, but ok for casual listening. Let me know if you want me to upload it for you.

        Yeah, Kel, please upload it.

SM001 Matt is the real MVP haha, but you’re welcome!

Some vocal electro tracks that have always gone down well for me. The latter is quite upbeat but has a nice, head-nod warmth to it.

Someone make a JC summer mix now!!

As for “yacht rock” (I despise the term) and poolside music, Dan’s mixes are perfection. But I’d gladly listen to more!

Unfortunately that’s not the case. Considering the musicians playing in those records, it’s almost a derogatory term! Linda Ronstadt sings in that Ned Doheny record, for fu’s sake.

Don’t be put off by the Hed Kandi branding- perfect summer house music this!

sbando fair enough - yeah a great track this - I’m always (probably unfairly) inclined to put them in the same bracket as Ministry of Sound (house music for Karen’s basically).

LT42 Not for a few weeks mate, but yeah, will be going live - will keep you posted! The stress will kill me.

Also want to have the XDJ-XZ is situ…

Pickles MOS helped to kill it, when Mark Doyle, the DJ behind the comps, left. MOS turned them into the commercial shit we all know, entire sections at Virgin and HMV and you couldn’t tell Hed Kandi from the imitators.
