Etherial belter = auto-swerve

Wasily Defo not Data Error Data, Gemma or Oxido from that EP as I’ve heard all of them already. Could be ‘Chispa’?

Wasily Sounds like something by Johann Bley.

Wasily Probably the best Sasha set ever, amazed it hasn’t all been squared off.

The beginning and end of the mix also have a loop from the Chemical Bros live techno version of Setting Sun, probably dubbed over for the crowd noise / clapping etc.

    Wasily Maybe LSG?

I don’t know what it is, but I don’t recall ever hearing drum programming like that from Oliver LIeb. Or anything quite that ‘psy’ sounding.

Didn’t Oliver Lien have something ridiculous like over 47 different pseudonym(s)

hugopal I don’t think it’s that psy/ goa sounding. For that reason I don’t think it’s a Bley production, nor anything from MWNN etc. or Dragonfly related. To me it sounds more purely prog trance - the closest thing I can find percussion wise is Qattara but pretty sure it’s not them as Whitcombe loves a piano.

Old-Dutch Yep! Was going to trawl his discography but have been a tad busy this weekend…

Wasily I checked Bley’s back catalogue and couldn’t find anything. It does remind me of Johann’s ‘New Kicks’.

          Wasily prog trance

The whole second half sounds like it could be on Excession. That Graham Dear / Justin Scott Dixon stuff is power, proper on the edge of acid trance.

Looking for a way to id tunes off the YouTube, not a remember so music stops as soon as i bring another window up (Shazam).

Preferably using phone for mobility purposes

Mad_Cyril YOOT CHOOB is actually pretty decent at IDing tunes that are already out. If you click on the ‘more’ link next to the amount of plays and date released, it’ll often tell you what it’s ‘Shazamed’ for it’s own purposes.

Otherwise you’ve got to hold down the Shazam button for ‘Auto Shazam’ and it’ll just listen in the background until you turn it off again

Mad_Cyril YT will run in background if you have a subscription; which will allow you to Chozom it. Other option could be to read the file name on the YouTube vid.

Mainly picking tracks out of mixes, no subscription

. probably rules out suggestions but will give a whirl 👍

            @SM001 Track playing at 1:34:00?

TL says ‘Breeder - New York FM (THIS IS NOT The Van Bellen Mix!!)’ but it’s not of the released remixes so I’m inclined to think it’s not a remix but a different original?

Wasily Most likely an unreleased remix? Possibly a Sander Kleinenberg dub?

Wasily while it can be true it also can be that he slowed down the track which originally had a faster bpm so it would sound proggy

I’d find some psy-trance specialists forum and first ask them just in case, even if they don’t know they might be intrigued by it

as of if it’s still prog I’d associate it with something like this, it has similar sounds at some moments
i’d then try to search by prog trance and certainly i’d search first and foremost by white labels not by commercial releases, that would be found ages ago and i wouldn’t type the specific year cause it may be a situation where it has no verified year on discogs

                  maxiqum Great ideas! Thanks!

                  Into the Weeds!

Wasily maybe you’d ask JurassicTrance himself considering he’s describing it in the comments like he actually has it?

or just here in the comments

maxiqum I have, but he hasn’t got it. But listening to the 2 Soulfood releases that are available on Rhythm Syndicate I’m pretty sure it’s their remix.

Wasily I sent a message to the guy that has it lol and asked for confirmation, doubt he’ll answer something, but at least now discogs separating PM messages and market recommendations

                      does anybody know the track?
                      from Sasha - Kiss 100 FM 07-10-1993
it’s not mentioned on sbradyman tracklists
it’s between Animal Qat and Leftfield Open Up
I hear Tilt - I dream sounds in some places but that’s 1993
                      starts around 1h13m

maxiqum Leftfield - Open Up (Dervish Overdrive) ?

SM001 before Leftfield, there’s a 5minute of so acidy track post Animal Qat

                          • Dan replied to this.

maxiqum That’s the intro to the Leftfield track?

I meant this part, perhaps it’s a well known track but I don’t know it lol, at 3:16 there’s a melody which I probably heard somewhere, but I’m not sure. If it’s an 18-minutes of live version of Dervish Overdrive that Leftfield played somewhere once in 1993 then damn i didn’t know that

I’m 99% sure thats ‘Animal Qat’ up until ‘Open Up’. It’s probably an earlier version of it with added squelch.
