  • Being financially independent

Millsy Admittedly, none of this would have happened if I had a Trust fund and received multiple financial bail outs from my parents, like Ed.

Behave yourself!

I haven’t received any specific financial bailouts from the ’rents but they have been very supportive.

I’ll gladly give you ten quid. No lend needed.

You absolute peasant.

That’s what makes it so hard to invest when you have no financial backup whatsoever.

    Millsy
I know mate. I’ve got no income at the moment so I’m living off my savings until I can safely work in peoples houses again.

Millsy Plus the rest of the market is fucked at the moment so this is the only show in town….

No it’s not, millsy. Slow and steady brother and you will still make dem gains. This sort of gordon gekko type beat the market shizzle is where you get bum raped!

Millsy is bang into that kind of thing.

      Hursty

You can put as much as you want into your pension, hursty. You will however only get tax relief on the amount equivalent to your annual earnings, up to a current limit of £40k, this can be back-dated up to 3 tax years if you haven’t fully utilised annual allowances in previous years.

Gamestop and AMC have almost recovered any losses from last nights post market in today’s pre market.

Hursty Basically with CGT, the claims people make are not wholly trie regarding profits as most people on here will be paying the higher rate of tax and thus their profits will be reduced.

If they are lucky enough and the price stays high enough until then, you would split the sale of the stock over 2 tax years, ie sell 5 april and 6 april and therefore have 2 years cgt allowances to benefit from.

Gamestop surging in pre market now. 368 at the mo.

-si- Thank you for the clarification Si.

The tax relief limit used to be well north of £100k back in the day, but I guess £40k is still not bad!

I’ve made just over £56 on my virtual 2k investment since yesterday on Amc & Gamestop
