The NFT article stuff is fake (or rather, well known for the past 8 months) news.

The price jumped because a smaller hedge fund went pop with the general market taking a tumble recently and had to close their positions.

The article came out half an hour after the price started jumping.

benson yeah, best thing to do is batten down the hatches and hold through the downturn. It’s a bloodbath pretty much everywhere.

Same - was down 24 big ones at once point recently - Usually I wouldn’t have been bothered as DCA and patience will get you out of most scraps but I was against the clock as I’d (really stupidly) dipped into house deposit money to try and get my average down and recover and then things has went even more sour. Brown trousers time for a while. Fortunately things bounced back and my house purchase eventually got pushed back anyway so managed to get out of it but fuck me. A harsh lesson was learned.

Wally ouch mate. Glad you recovered from that one. I need to move my pension investments at some point as I’m self selecting US growth and FAANG and can see the market across the pond going majorly south soon. But then, where would be safe I suppose?!
