I’m here happy to have a chat, I posted this in the thread. I found most of the feedback to be simply constructive criticism and totally understand I put myself out there so can only expect both the positive in the negative. It was a little alarming to see that some of you suggested I kill myself and hang myself, but mainly just that some people were encouraging violence against me at my events or if you see me at a gig. Again, honestly it’s totally fine, was just a little rattled to see that. I don’t mean to take away from your enjoyment of the music, I just would like to not worry about getting jumped at any gig I go to or event I put on for the pure enjoyment of others in this scene. That’s all

This type of thing is why I left this board a year ago - its not on. I didn’t see who said what but people need to grow up and learn how to communicate instead of thinking they’re hard or clever behind a keyboard.

You can disagree with someone’s approach without insulting them (or just ignore it if its not for you) and if its someone in the music scene we all love then they’re one of us. You’d never talk to them like that in person.

I met the owner of SP on Sunday and he’s sound, he’ll act enthusiastic for the videos its an entertainment thing but he was chill in real life.

He’s doing nothing bad at all and is adding people into a scene which definitely needs support so whoever said what grow up and chill out.

Coming from overseas I can understand why you’d be taken aback by comments like that.

Getting jumped in real life is 100% not going to happen.

There’s so much potential in this forum and plenty of good people who have become personal friends of mine as well - but I left a year ago because this more toxic side of it slowly made me begin to not enjoy it.

I popped my head in after meeting someone from here by chance on Sunday and got stuck in to what we love discussing: music, events, S+D, sound quality etc

It was nice to be back until I heard about this.

@Superprogressive Please don’t let it affect your enthusiasm as the prog/house side of the music industry is actually behind your efforts as they discover what you’re doing and given you have just moved to the UK, whether you stay in this forum or not, you are for sure welcome to the island and this scene.

fair enough. I wouldn’t worry. None here are physically capable of doing half the stuff we cap about as they are too old and beaten down by years of hard labor in the prog mines.
