I read that the EU has prohibited the supply of what it calls, “Novelty foods” from EU to EU countries, which includes Lions Mane. It means that suppliers are not permitted to sell mycelium - only the fruiting variety.

whatever I wonder if that’s what’s happening here. Mycelium is the key active ingredient, it’s useless for me without it.

NasserAlazzawi I might try calling host defense or their canadian distributor. They specifically say on their site that they don’t ship directly to canada and that you have to go through a local retailer. It’s all so bloody ridiculous.

Anyone find a Lions Mane sup with mycelium here in Blighty?

Amps I haven’t contacted host defense directly, but it’s basically not available in Canada. I talked to someone at one of the local places I used to get it and she said it’s showing up as discontinued and they can’t even order it.

whatever Nice find - I’m not so far off the end of my Lions Mane and mine is Fruiting bodies only.

My other half just started having it a month ago and she says she’s getting notable benefit from a couple of weeks in (she has a high work rate and is a psychologist) so I’m keen to carry on with at least Lions Mane for sure.

Doing the full range of supplements is quite expensive although I think Cordyceps is good for energy levels.

whatever In the post. I’ll chomp these down and report back. Hold tight etc.

It’s a load of bollocks Amps.

Spend your money on some vintage grot instead, will do wonders for your seratonin levels.

There’s word I’m thinking of and it starts with an m, ends with an s and has the word ineral in between.

Nice one. Probably take about 2 weeks to notice any effect. I take one in the morning and one early afternoon.

Don’t think going to a grab-a-granny night is what he’s looking for MC, but each to their own.

Amps It is a while since the library had any new material.

              Fucking tories 🙄

Why is this thread NSFW? Just scrolled back through it and was expecting some naked mushroom huffing tree hugger hippy chicks. Disappointing gents, disappointing.

Saw a post elsewhere about alcohol abuse and microdosing - and thought it echoed a lot of what me and some others have been experiencing this year.

I wasn’t a big drinker but have lost people to it - this was a post today from someone who was an alcoholic.

I was a pretty heavy drinker and I started microdosing primarily for the mental health and clarity improvements… and for me one of the side effects I found out has been a reduced appetite for alcohol.

The mushrooms have allowed me to listen to my body more and alcohol is something I no longer feel I need to consume regularly.

I now usually consume it on special occasions (birthday parties, weddings, celebrations or fancy dinner outings… and I never drink alone) I think I average about 1 drink a week but I’ll sometimes go an entire month without.

I’ve never intentionally taken them when I have alcohol cravings, I microdosed 3 days a week and the cravings just naturally curbed themselves , it’s been a huge improvement to treat my alcoholism.

Using alcohol to cope is evil

That’s a big difference compared to the line that AA / most doctors use where where you have to totally abstain to avoid decline / eventual death.

When we were in a hospital with a relative about to pass, the specialist doctors said in the field of recovering from alcoholism - all we know for patients is that once an ‘invisible switch’ is flipped at X amount of years into heavy drinking, people can’t turn that switch off and reverse the addiction - they have to abstain for life in order to get their life back.

Whilst abstaining still may need to happen generally - it would seem microdosing makes this more of a possibility / easy leg up to get off alcohol.

I would imagine you’d need to stick to 1 day on 2 days off as a maximum for months (or to make it easier to remember stick to Sundays and Wednesdays like some of us) to keep on the safe side - you aren’t going to get this result just from doing one microdose.
