NasserAlazzawi I thought that was interesting, cheers Nas. I would be interested in trying this, just slight problem on getting hold of the stuff! And also having the willpower not to just take larger doses to enjoy a trip. Not done mushrooms in years

RichM you’ll find someone who knows someone if you start asking around your mates and stuff. there are also companies who apparently post them inside chocolate and food style packaging to some DJs I know but i’ve not used them.

I’ve been taking a Lion’s Mane supplement for the last few months and it’s made a difference.

Would be interested in micro dosing but I’m a bit concerned as I used to take loads of acid in the early 90s

I’m taking Lions Mane too, I’ve always struggled with recent memory especially peoples names until I see it enough times.

However Lions Mane has made recall much better and whilst using it its a good idea to learn a skill. Good for focus too. I’ve also started to remember things in detail from when I was a child or young adult that I had clearly forgotten about.

RE: your past, microdosing aint gonna bring any of that back. Its a tiny tiny tiny dose but if concerned just do it on a friday when you are finishing work about to go home and you’ll see what I mean. Most people are taking 3000mgs (3 grams) or higher for a recreational trip and we are talking about taking 50mg here so that should put your mind at ease.

Dubman Memory, focus. Great for people with working memory challenges or ADHD but also probably for everyone, if you ask me. It basically builds stronger connections in the various parts of the brain and has had good trials to indicate it protects people from developing alzheimers and dementia based on successful tests in mice.

This was some years ago and the trials should have advanced now. Be interesting to see if it helps somehow reverse these as its about time we found positive treatment for it.

NasserAlazzawi it took a while, but the general brain fog has cleared now. I’m certainly more focused and my memory is much better.

That’s good to know. Will definitely look into it more now. Might be a nice Friday night thing

@Dubman I’ve looked again at the list and its bigger than I thought.

Most seem to shout about the memory side as its the most obvious when you take it consistently after a week or two.

These guys grow Lions Mane (and all the legal variants) themselves so I’ve been using them.

I also like Reishi for calm / if I’m feeling wired in the evening or want a deeper sleep etc.

        Along_the_Wire Agree..

Psilocybin is a wonderful thing. One of the most helpful natural psychedelics imo.

I order a batch of truffels every three to six months to do a 2-3 week ‘course’.

Definitely give ‘Fantastic Fungi’ and ‘How To Change Your Mind’ on Netflix a watch if you are going down this path..

        C_J Fucking junkies!

Somebody escort grandpa back to the bingo hall. His custard pudding is getting cold 😅

Smallman1 Look for host defense (tincture, not capsules) if you can find it. Avoid any brand that only uses the fruit bodies.

Never heard of Lions Mane before i watched Clarksons Farm . Sounds like what old IS needs, bit of brain shizzle

I’ve cycled on/off lion’s mane a few times to see if it made a difference and it’s immediately noticeable when starting it again. I’m sharper, my memory is better, it really does provide me with the neural support they claim.

I seem to be sensitive to all things mushroom related, so take my experience with that in mind. The recommended dose is 1 ml twice per day and I could only handle 9 drops once per day. The first time I took 1 ml, it caused a lot physical tension, it almost locked up my hands, which was really odd. Had to titrate it down to a dose I could handle.

IndustryStandard apparently this stuff is like manna from the gods.. but the gist of it: ‘More (if not any) human studies needed’.

I’m eager to just test it for myself though. Might grow a batch.
