Bellingham is not a number 10. He’s a box to box midfielder. He should be playing next to Rice but for some reason, only known to Southgate, he thinks he can shoehorn Foden and Bellingham as 10’s by having them switch positions throughout the game. Wide left should be a player with pace and who can run at the opposition. Oh look they have Gordon. Problem solved.
Bellingham looks like he’s starting to believe his own hype. From what i’ve seen he’s waiting for moments to happen instead of putting the work in during a match to make those moments happen.
When he was having success earlier in the season with Real playing further forward he had 3 midfielders behind him. And they happened to be Modric and Kroos not Rice and TAA or Gallagher.
