  • Starmer (UK is Jaded thread)

alistair I make no apologies for being mortgage free and having already built up well over 1/2m pension pot. Only a fool doesn’t care about the money they earn especially when they have a family to support.

Gold! You explain to someone that they’re not normal for constantly going on about money… and they counter by continuing to go on about the money! Love the pension flex, Ed to bounce in with his trust fund digits any second.

bosstrabs Grim people on either side as well you know, and you’re no more distanced from them than we are.

benson same. It’s a bit of a shit slang term.

Wasily

I would but I’ve been struck down with either a bad cold or Covid which means I already can’t remember most of it and writing this sentence has almost killed me.

I’m absolutely opposed to the far right, and try to call them out at every opportunity possible – and I find it very strange that some people aren’t prepared to stand up and be counted especially after what we have seen lately

Do you know helps to kick the ole Covid?

    A long walk.

    Fucking lol!

    That is absolutely fantastic!

The soft left have a real chance to shape the agenda and win people over to their side now.

Don’t do the Tories work for them by amplifying extreme, spurious far left nonsense @Amps

C_J Same shit, different bucket. Starmer still looks like he has been dressed at M&S despite the £16k suit allowance from Lord Ali.

C_J Don’t do the Tories work for them by amplifying extreme, spurious far left nonsense

Is that in response to either of those last two posts or just in general?

benson The point was more to do with the earlier Monbiot post… they can / could find a way if they wanted. It’s about political will, not the actual figures. Something I have banged on about plenty of times. They’re not socialists, their left leaning Tories at best.

Errm, it was also funded by a $3.75bn (equivalent to $63bn today) Marshall Plan loan from the US in 1946 which wasn’t fully paid back until 2006!

        • Amps replied to this.

benson We also have a lot more billionaires and a bigger wealth gap… I have less hair than I did too.

Delighted to see Priti Patel is out of the running. Lets hope she disappears into the political wilderness.

When’s that twat Suella Braverman off to Reform? Well past due.

Millsy Hadn’t realised she didn’t run in the leadership contest. Defection can only be days away…

Millsy Splinters on her arse… give them a couple of weeks in parliament and see how unhinged they are day to day first. They could go down like a turd in a swimming pool.

                Dame Priti Patel actually Amps

Amps Tice getting schooled by Milliband about how energy markets actually work has been a decent start.

What are your opinions on Starmer so far? Is it just the instantaneous nature of social media platform opinions and the fact no cunt has any patience nowadays but there seems to be a lot of crying on twitter etc about the supposed mess he is making. Which i don’t tend to agree with.

-si- removing the winter fuel allowance for pensioners on £12k plus a year was hardly a smart first move. It raises only £1.5bn and leaves his approval ratings in the dirt.
