Not the condition per se. Telling any elderly person that they can’t do certain things anymore will usually illicit a negative response. Imagine telling Ed that he can’t take his top off or listen to Musak and disc 2 anymore!

However memory loss and imbalance are conditions of Parkinsons in some cases.

    My mother slipped down the stairs but was lucky that she only fractured her pelvis. This happened in late January. I had to fly home early from my trip as my father couldn’t cope looking after her. Thankfully she’s ok now. But it’s been an absolute nightmare the last year as she has single cell lung cancer & COPD. She had a course of radiotherapy about 6 weeks ago and tomorrow a CT scan to see how things are going I’ve had move back home to look after them. Mainly to do all the cooking as neither of them can cook.

            That’s a hell of a sentence. Hope you’re doing well, it’s a lot to take on.

              We had my mother-in-law living with us for three years - she had a rod put into her back, took years to recover and then got pancreatic cancer - it was bloody horrible - got on with her like a house on fire apart from the Daily Mail-based rows I had with her every now and again. RIP

                Along_the_Wire did she manage to get you to stop reading the Daily Mail before she passed, Grant?

                Ageing is utterly shit. Cancer can also do a massive one.

                  It’s so frustrating as I can’t play anything on Frisky as I get a warning about using the website. How do I get round this problem

                      Very sorry to read about your mum and Parkinson’s. I’ve been through the same with my mum. It’s a vicious and evil disease. A particular highlight towards the end was my mum thinking I was a Nazi prison guard arriving to take her to a gas chamber (we’re not even faintly Jewish fwiw) and trying to escape my evil clutches by climbing out of her second floor window.
