Dan Just had a listen. That is more like it. Cheers Dan

Amps It needs pitching down but this was a great EP in it’s day…..Festival fodder.

    Dan Correct.

I’ve told this tale on here before, but I watched a stack of those sell out from behind the counter in 3Beat before the first side had finished playing. It was like some sort of epic breakbeat feeding time at the zoo.

Amps I paid about a tenner for a promo from Carbon Records many moons ago. The flip side is really good… Used to drop Belfunk on it 🤣👴🏼

Dan Altitude and Kill City wannit? Both belters. Sounded like nothing else at the time. Super clean production.

Amps Kill City has the nutty Juno Stabs on it. Saw them DJ once at one the festivals… Brilliant DJs & Producers.

Kill City is some track. It defo finished off a CD from someone, can’t remember who.

I am certain Afrika was used more than once. My mate who introduced me to Bedorck has also said he remembers Dave Kane Clarkness being a closer.

Dan saw them DJing at the Gallery with Chris Fortier around the time of the first Involver release. Remember them playing On my own and burma from it. Great night.

alistair They were playing Hylands Park of all places in the Progress tent. This went off.

Homegrove Correct. I take full responsibility for not reading the title of the thread properly.

Danny Howells closed his 6 hour set in Glasgow with this at the beginning of the year, which was nice

Pretty sure I ended a night more than once with this. Still gives feels.

Homegrove I think Amps meant good closing tracks and you talked about much used ones

Been thinking about this a bit more, good is very dependent on being there in person isn’t it. The whole point of a good closer is the reaction it generates at the end of the night.

Can remember the roof nearly coming down @ cream to Hardfloors remix of ‘Is there anybody out there’ around 94 / 95.

Very easy to sit at home and call it cheese now, but if you weren’t there….

                Captain obvious signing out 🫡

Mad_Cyril Precisely. Time and place and know your crowd. Who’s gonna moan if Louie Vega finishes off with Harold Melvin

This is how you close a set 🤔

Dan You can’t beat a sing song to end. Oh for Digweed finishing a set again with the def mix of Was that all it was.

I’m not 100% sure but I think digweed has used this as a closer a few times

Matt Pretty sure it’s the Arthur Baker mix.

One of Uncle John’s greatest closing tracks.

Went right off when Leger closed with this in London a few years ago

                        • Dan replied to this.

Matt never heard him finish with the mac. I bloody love the mac.

alistair Sounds like lost in a moment by Dekay & Burridge.

Smallman1 I don’t know of many DJs who ever finished with it, but when the Chems close their sets with it… maybe my top five / top three all time tracks.

whatever Haven’t heard that in a while. Oakey Mansun remix vibes. Banger.

Amps All time? It’s good and all that, but it’s yet another of their Tomorrow never knows rips.

                            Dan

Yeah, me too. Think I paid £25 from HTFR.
