  • It's the forthcoming films and TV thread...innit.

Dubman 1979! I hope Barlow is a subtler design on this one. In the book he looks like a normal middle aged man.

Local megaplex is doing screenings of the following this autumn:
    Beetlejuice (before the sequel)
The Terminator (for the 40th birthday)
    Gladiator (before the sequel)
    Interstellar (for the 10th anniversary)
    LOTR-trilogy.

I got tickets for The Terminator and Gladiator, the former probably needs no explanation, Gladiator I missed in the theatres upon it’s release in 2000 and I love it. The opening battle should be awesome in an iSense-room with a huge screen.

      Homegrove

Wish the bigger cinemas would do that more often. So many films that I would love to see on the big screen.

Although, I would probably end up sitting next to the cunt who absolutely has to say all of the lines out loud — because obviously no one else would know the lines and find it so impressive.

Homegrove I saw Gladiator two nights on the bounce as I was working away and was bored out of my nut in the hotel room. 🤣

      You’ll love it 🎥

This was rumored from the time the movie was yet to hit theatres. I was one of the 10 people in the world who loved it so now I really need to find 3 hours and 24 minutes to spare.

Salem’s Lot is getting a theatrical release, but only in the UK. Not that you lot seem like the sort to go to the cinema.

Homegrove I used to go every other week. Fuck all worth watching these days though.

There is a brill The Light cinema in New Brighton. Your neck of the woods isn’t it?

Have a look at what they are showing, if you want to go to a cinema.

ehitach2 I able to locate a cinema, I just wouldn’t want to watch anything they are showing. Modern cinema / film is for the most part, shite.

So anyway, what they all have usually is a ‘Rewind’, ‘Explore’ and ‘Iconic’ film or two showing.

Really happy The Substance is getting a theatrical release in Finland. Truly bonkers films like it are best seen in a crowd.

Is the Joker becoming a franchise film now? Seems there’s another one out. Seems a similar pitch to the last one.

Will probably watchband on the fact I loved the last one 😀

                The BERKbait clearly works!

Mad_Cyril Romantic musical with lady Gaga. Critics have been luke warm. Saw Blink Twice yesterday. Clever and original.

Presume this is the tv film from 1984?…. never seen it, meant to be pretty groundbreaking for the time.

It’s an amazing film, only broadcast a few times, hence a mention. You either know about it and have seen it and it’s had an impact, or you haven’t.

Definitely not fun. I am no film expert but doubt that was the nature or intent.
