rhouses Jules72 yup. Not sure if it’s because I’m locked up with much to do, but this season has been good. Very personal and funny. Cornish ripping a fart as Buxton is almost in tears talking about his dead mom had me in tears.
rhouses Jules72 yeah. Definitely feels like he’s one of your mates, just shooting the shit. Been great company while doing chores and cooking. Love it when he gets together with Louis Theroux (whose book I’ve just bought).
rhouses Jules72 I heard the one with boy George and Lenny Henry. Had to turn off Rose McGowen. Good stuff, but lacks the charm of the Buxton podcast. Did laugh at all the bants when Theroux was telling buxton he’s going show him how it’s done and the whole issues with the mics.
Phil-McRackin Love Buckles. The Theroux ones are good too. Been really enjoying the Socially Distant Sports Bar with Elis James and Mike Bubbins…bit niche for some but Bubbins is a funny fucker.
LT42 Anyone been listening to the James English podcasts? Billy Moore’s stories about being in prison in Thailand were an eye opener. First night he slept on the floor next to a dead body. 👀
LT42 Jules72 I think it was done this week sometime, Jules. Chap called Billy Moore, ex-Liverpool gangster. The Tony Bellew one was also very good. Likeable chap really.
zackster I only listen to three these days Chapo Trap House Cum Town True Anon All three are hilarious. Cum Town is hands down the funniest thing going.
303abuser watching the david blaine episode now, it’s nuts. great episode. “do we need another bucket” “maybe” 🤣
rhouses New season of Bellingcat has started. Terrifying as per. Brit host with the most soothing voice, but scaring the shit out of you with all sorts of government-led horrors. Great recco from @Unbroken1.
Unbroken1 …they are great. Quite enjoying the new series of Slow Burn about David Duke (surreal that he was still in the House of Representatives in the 90’s), and the new run of Malcolm Gladwell’s Revisionist History.
rhouses I don’t know why, but I find Gladwell’s tone patronising. Almost like he’s talking down to you. That being said, do enjoy his music podcast with Rick Rubin. the Louis Theroux episode with Chris Dowd (didn’t know who he was) is hilarious.
