Heading on tour -
Nine Inch Nails
Saw them at the O2 with Jane’s Addiction supporting.
Gary Newman came on and sang ‘Cars’ with NIN.
Wouldn’t go and see them again though.
You’re welcome.

Homegrove Phil Anselmo…….I mean Pantera on the other hand are starting off their 2025 tour in Helsinki. Not sure I’d want to see them with Zak Wylde, even though I respect his work and playing.
edit sorry, that was last night. Why can’t you delete a post on here now?
ScottBailey Why can’t you delete a post on here now?
FAO OF MONO.
ScottBailey my friend went to see them. I haven’t given a toss about them since the mid 90s. Vulgar Display of Power is one of all time metal-albums for sure though.
Smallman1 should work now
ScottBailey I was at that. What a load of noise that whole thing was (NIN not my cup of tea)
Saw NIN in summer of 1990 at a nightclub. It was also first time seeing Meat Beat Manifesto. Loud doesn’t even begin to describe it, but also completely mesmerizing.
You’d have thought these lads would of considered the metric system whilst naming their band.
228 mills
Also B&Q only selling nails in packs of 100. What’s that about?!
mono-stereo I’m not allowed anywhere near DIY, so haven’t set foot in a B&Q for decades

Along_the_Wire you’re not missing much. I hate the place
mono-stereo If you’re doing actual ‘construction / building’ shiz rather than decorating or changing a lightbulb, head to ScrewFix or the like, loads cheaper.
Along_the_Wire I’m not allowed anywhere near DIY,
Details of the disaster that put this rule in place please!
Amps Changing the lock when I first moved in to my current house. It didn’t quite fit properly, so I chiselled a fair bit of the wood away and then completely knackered it - I got some dirty water to put over the raw wood and let it dry and then phoned a locksmith - he asked what the hell has happened here, it’s a clown show and I said I had no idea, we’ve just moved in. Had to get it reinforced with metal rods - £350.
I have about half a dozen more and then the door quickly slammed shut on my budding DIY career.
I think my missus all-time best one was me buying a drill and it not working - it rotated, but it just wouldn’t actually penetrate anything - we went back to the shop to get it changed and the guy pointed out it’s in reverse. That’s how bad it is.
Along_the_Wire haha. Sounds like the kind of thing I would do
Gold.
In all fairness, you have my sympathy. If you don’t know, you don’t know.
My mate, who is an architect, decided to renovate his own flat rather than getting someone in; he reckons it cost him nearly three times as much plus his time. He had to buy loads of tools, and did most jobs twice as he was learning as he went. Place looked amazing but nearly killed him. He won’t change a fuse these days, always gets someone in.
