If Liverpool decide not to pay Newcastle what they want for Isak, will be an interesting situation for him! Surely they can’t afford not to have him back in the team, but wonder how effective he would be this season when the fans and team prob don’t want him there now.

Therefore why would Liverpool pay full price for him now?

There is a part of me which would rather not see him come to us as he hasn’t dealt with this transfer well at all, and could easily do the same to us if Madrid come calling (would need to stick him on a 5-6 year contract if he did come, to prevent Madrid sniffing him out for a freebie soon).
However he is clearly a top striker and has proved it in the PL, so would clearly be a great addition to any team in the league.

It’s become a funny old transfer saga this one.

We’re a small squad at the moment, and you need the depth if you want to win it all again. Etikihe / Isak could be great replacements for each other.

Keen to see Gravenberch back as soon as possible. Our midfield was chocolate tea pot stuff at the weekend.

Early days for Ekitike, so far looked promising, but Nunez started well too! So need a good few more games before we can start to assess his impact.

Another attacking player would be good as we have lost 3 main attacking players and replaced with 2. Be interesting to see what happens over next week

The intensity uplift from other leagues is serious - just need to look at McSauce bossing it in Serie A as an example!!

It doesn’t add up though, I just spent seven years in the pub with my mate watching us with Klopp; laughed, cried, danced on the tables, and ate my own weight in cheese and onion… I’ve been having a great time!

It’s one game Hugo, Amps is right, need to see what he is like over a period of time. Nunez was great in his first couple of games and look how he ended up.

RichM He doesn’t have the cleanest ball striking technique, and is pretty average in the air for his size, but he’s so quick and skilful he’ll still score plenty regardless.

Nunez always looked a bit erratic, including at Benfica.

Wirtz is the one I’d be more on the fence about relative to his fee.
