              alistair I don’t despise him, and I agree he ‘has’ been brilliant for us. A few years back I would have cloned him and fielded 11 of him. But, he is no longer fit for purpose, he’s just too slow, and as such has become a second rate yard dog, hacking down anyone who might go past him. Arguably he has gotten away with two red cards this season, and he wasn’t much better last season. I think in a comp that is as tight as this, he could be the difference between winning or losing it. If we’re a serious side, we should have a better option, and should have had for the last two seasons.

              I know he only gets brought on when it’s already won, I know he’s an old head, I know he’s ‘great in the changing room’ and all that extra shite that he brings. But, I still just think we should have a better option. I don’t want to see a loved player become the excuse for us not winning something.
