Mad_Cyril Their similarities are actually remarkable. World class captains who could, and did, take games by the scruff of the neck. Angry twats on telly, yet somehow compelling to watch. Proven useless managers, probably because they are exceptionally demanding but cannot ‘put an arm round a player’. Guilty of executing career-ending tackles on people.

I do love the way Souness rankles United fans due to his apparent racism because of his Pogba criticisms.

Judging by the comments over the years on Liverpool forums, Souness is rightly regarded as one of the club’s top 5 players of all time. The managerial stint and The Sun article tainted his legacy somewhat, but to answer the question, Liverpool fans in general do like him

For once been a pleasure watching Man Utd the last couple of matches…. some promising signs…especially now Solskjaer has realised Dan James shouldn’t be starting, and Greenwood and Pogba should be.

That Martial hattrick was quality. It’s almost like they’re playing more naturally without the weight of the Old Trafford crowd.
