I reckon he’s played a significant part in their change in circumstances - Watford’s performances improved quite a bit when he and Pearson took over at the end of last season. Villa have spent a lot of money since getting promoted back to the PL as well - over £200mil in just 2 summer windows + 1 Jan with basically no sales.
