Most local matchgoing fans care about the club more than immediate success.
Ole represents the clubs values more than any of the previous rent-a-cunts, they appreciate success isn’t a given and can see the building going on behind the scenes.
He might not be a top top elite level manager etc… but what’s the credible alternative?
Unless you have a decent plan you end up like arsenal.
We’ll get done over a fair few times in the next few weeks, and the knee-BERK reactions will continue to be amplified by the press, but it’s naive to think the club don’t recognise the gaping hole in midfield and are committed to a rebuild until that hole is plugged.
I don’t see any manager who can plug that hole themselves out there, so it’s all a bit emperor’s new clothes. The previous geniuses hardly left us in a great place did they?
That said, if we win fuck all this season the pressure to ditch ole might need too much for the club. Unless we can find a replacement who is built into the club ethos and committed to restoring it I know a lot of people who’ll be sad.
