I became a fan in 1985. Man Utd were on the telly on a Sunday Afternoon. Can ’t remember who they were playing TBH. My mate and I used to play penalties on his mum’s pull out sofa bed, and I scored a penalty at the same time as Bryan Robson scoring a pen for Utd. That was it.
Utd had finished 3rd or 4th for each of the last 4 seasons. The year after I started supporting them, they dropped to 11th.
