Tuchel treated him with kid gloves reintroducing him back into the team which is fair enough when it’s not just injuries, but also Covid hitting a team that’s going for the title. Can understand Lukaku’s frustration in wanting to come back into the team earlier, but his performances have been lacking post injury and the way I see it, he’s looking for someone to blame that he’s not a league superstar anymore and banging in goals. He got a taste in serie A, but surprise surprise the PL is tougher. It’s like he’s got a short memory.
However you think about it, he should’ve kept his mouth shut. Playing him against Liverpool would have been a lesson in being humble with the way he would’ve been treated by the fans. He’s only given himself more reduced playing time.
Edit: Just seen he updated his Facebook page back to being an Inter player. They don’t even want him back and put banners up round the stadium to say so. Talk about digging a hole…
