25 mill is a lot but he’s a proven relegation battler who scores 10 goals+ a season and can start immediately. Something Newcastle desperately need. It also does weaken Burnley who are now likely to be fucked so it’s a good move imo. Any fan going on about signing Mbappe or the like right now is a deluded fuckwit who probably only jumped on the NUFC train after the takeover went through.

I also don’t think 25m is that much these days. You don’t have to look far to find similar deals. Andy Carrol went to Liverpool for 35m after only 19 appearances / 11 goals in the PL and a season in the championship for Newcastle. The going rate for someone remotely decent seems to be around 15-20 so it’s not as outrageous as it sounds.
