I had thought it was to discourage displaying a message written on your vest, but it’s not as if players always have those and Amad didn’t either. Sometimes there’s surely got to be some common sense and leniency in moments like that? Or the rule needs to be changed.
His first yellow was a joke as well, as the Pool players quickly kicked the ball against him while trying to take the free kick yards ahead of where it was awarded, and the ref then made them take it further back after booking him!
