There’s absolutely no known reason for a defender to have his hand in the air like that. Not only was he on a yellow he escaped by the skin of his teeth being reded. For me when a player misses a penalty like Bamford did and he’s offering little anyhow he should be subbed because his head is bolloxed. Firpo for me should have been removed for his own safety after the yellow. I think every Leeds fan on the planet knew he’d get a red eventually so why didn’t fat head Sam? Just surprised it took so long.
Also thought fat head got some of the subbing wrong. Would have taken Bamford for Gnonto and put Rodrigo up front. Left Harrison on and Rodrigo and gone for it. Aaronson as per offered nothing and would have preferred Forshaw instead of Greenwood. Dropping Messlier is the best thing he’s done so far and leaving Aaronson on the bench, needed doing motnhs ago. Was a huge loss Sinisterra and Adams getting injured when we did and just hoping now we don’t see Bamford again this season because he’s done as a Premier player. Fucking useless and makes my piss boil along with Firpo who hopefully will be binned for good.

I agree that the purchase of Firpo has been a catastrophe. he has no ability to play in this league which is far too intense for his limited defensive capability. he can barely tackle, will dive in and will only work in a system where we dominate the ball and play forward - which we dont and cant. however the idiocy of his acquisition pales into insignificance alongside the grim, resolute refusal to buy any back up for him given his weak injury and disciplinary record, a recruitment policy which has made no sense in so many ways. so i’m glad he is now done and will never play again. to think that we are still relying on Forshaw, Harrison, Ayling and Bamford in preference to about £150M of wasted acquisitions says all anyone needs to know about Victor Orta. I dont think we will beat West Ham and even if we need to beat spurs to stay up we will find a way to fuck that up. Forever damned. It will cost Radz. about £200M in his lost opportunity to sell to the 49ers at a premium but it is difficult to feel sorry for someone who would apparently prefer setting fire to his own cash and reputation than admit that he has made foolish mistakes and refused to see what was obvious to everyone else.
tbh i said to the mrs as he stepped up that if Bamford scored it would be a bit of a miracle given his fragile mentality so i was not surprised to see such a lame effort. Rodders should simply have pulled rank on him. All our wounds are self inflicted and we cannot say we dont deserve the pain and ignominy of what is coming.

I let my 7 year old stay up to watch it. When Bamford stood up to take it he was privy to a round of fucks like he’d never heard before. I said in no uncertain terms that there was no way he should be taking it and no way he’d score it. I went into a another room until we scored the 2nd as I couldn’t bear to watch any more.
The minute firpo got the yellow I said in similar language that he should be subbed immediately because he’s a liability on a yellow and no way he’d last the game out. It’s not as if I’m
