These included 15 bets he placed on himself to score, when it was not public knowledge that he would be in the team. This alone carries a guideline ban of 6 months to life.
He also bet on his own team to lose 13 times, albeit when he was not playing.
His potential sentence was significantly reduced because he was said to have a gambling addiction. Really it could have been longer.
So again, much more than just “a bet”.
