  • Jay Kaufman live from Rekindling Festival - July 2024

Hey All,

Been a minute. I just thought I’d pop in to post a mix (and take the piss of course) I recorded last summer.

Here’s a DJ set I recorded last year from the annual REKINDLING festival ast summer from a cool annual festival in my hometown of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. It’s a free festival held outside a local brewery hosted by a bunch of Burner types with DJs all day and a sound exemption from the city. The sound system they brought in was immense! It was my son’s first ever time seeing me DJ. I played for three hours and this is the last 90 odd minutes.

Breaks, afro house, progressive house, melodic techno, some unreleased tunes from yours truly and a techno classic to finish it all off! I’d love to hear your thoughts.

      Millsy surviving - barely. Since I played for a while I got to chuck in a few well known tracks. 😉

        Its really hard to understand from this thread where this festival took place.

              bosstrabs I’m guessing it’s in Smallman’s Revolut account or it’s gone up his nose? Maybe I should get in touch with The Met and file a report?

                I happen to love that track and it was brand spanking new when I played it. Yes, it’s cheesy as fuck but it also packed out the dancefloor with women so I wasn’t complaining. 35 years of DJing has taught me that if you can get the lay-deez on the dancefloor, that you will soon have a full dancefloor and a much easier night playing lesser known tracks and not clearing it.
