Mad_Cyril SFO lounge for BA Business is pretty shit. Went First once which was basically a roped off extension of the business lounge where a guy pretends to be your best mate for a hour and you order off a ‘menu’ which consists of items on the widely available buffet. Met Mark Bonnar there (KLANG) with his agent a few years ago- seemed pretty nice but I could tell he was staring to worry when I was next to him on the transit between Heathrow terminals and baggage carousel.

Started Blue Velvet on the way out here with Cathay (part of a Lynch film festival they’re doing) but am apprehensive it’s not gonna be available on the BA return leg…

I’m really liking BV as it’s filmed and scripted like an old Hitchcock murder mystery so when the batshit from Rossellini begins it’s completely unexpected.

Mulholland Drive is my favourite movie. Just brilliant in every way.

My 2nd and 3rd picks out of Lynch’s movies would be Eraserhead and Inland Empire. Eraserhead is an exceptional work of art. Inland Empire is rather long but it rewards those who stick with it.

Really the only two Lynch films to avoid are Straight Story, which is dull, and Dune, which is absolute shite.
