I think there’s some truth to them being tighter than before, but as you say it’s the same for all players

The snooker’s quite entertaining because everyone is a bit shit and prone to bad errors
The future of snooker is in a bad way if it is relying on players like Jak Jones to carry it. His semi-final (so far) has been a really tough watch, he’s dragging Bingham down. I understand that it’s not all about break building, but his slow approach and risk aversion is not a great watch

Which matches would you recommend from the current World Chanps?
whatever to rewatch? There’s only been one IMO and that was Mark Allen v John Higgins in the 2nd round. Higgins clearance in the final frame is one of the all time great clearances.
There isn’t another match this year that has been remotely memorable. It happens sometimes. The year the final was Ebdon v Dott was a bad one, this is the same
gcw that nearly killed the game, Dott won something once didn’t he, the most boring player of the modern era
I know Ebdon was another annoying player I hated at the time but actually he turned out to be alright once he retired 😂
