RichM In the spirit of just naming restaurants we have been to, I went here last night. Been a few times now and the food is always fantastic, and some of it is blow your head off spicy. It’s set up like a rough and ready canteen style place you would get in Thailand so they do a great job of making the whole thing feel authentic (apart from the prices as this is in central london). The muu hong, khua kling muu 2 highlights. Plus I love the stir fried veg as it has a smoky flavour to it which Thai food is great at doing with simple veg dishes. https://plazakhaogaeng.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/PLAZA-ALC-JAN-2025-1.pdf
Smallman1 I walked past there about 15 minutes ago Rich, unbelievable Jeff! And is a fantastic restaurant agreed, have been a few times and it has always been superb.
Old-Dutch New Indian Street food gaff opened on my high street the other week. Had a Dhaba chicken tikka naan roll yesterday for lunch. Was banging https://tikkanation.com/
Mad_Cyril Smallman1 The street food place Dutchy went to has obscure street dishes such as Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Rogan Josh. On their website. Practically feral. Don’t know how people cope on the edge
Mad_Cyril Millsy Seeing my local Midland Bank manager tomorrow to secure a loan for my Crinkle Cut Crisps Butties dining experience. Deposit already paid on a container. Wish me luck 🤞
RichM Along_the_Wire I’ve been there once and it’s great. A mate I was with yesterday said they have toned down the spice at speedboat recently, which would be a shame. I think Thai restaurants are top of my list of places to go in London, as more regularly go to Kiln, Som Saa, Smoking Goat, Kolae, Plaza. This place looks like it will be decent when it opens https://www.hot-dinners.com/2025031214010/Gastroblog/Latest-news/fortune-fried-chicken-thai-spitalfields-gunpowder-london?utm_source=newsletter_7762&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=londons-best-cheese-toasties-exclusive-wine-bar-jikoni-rogues-news-test-driving-silva-best-of-marylebone-more
