Yellow Bittern (Caledonian Road, Kings Cross, N1 9DU)
This restaurant seems to be generating a lot of press recently:

Was expecting to be regaled with a lot of Engels and Marx but instead got a celeriac soup, roast guinea fowl and some razor clams. They are a bit odd (the people), but in a nice pleasant way; the owner seeming to take great delight in knowing nothing about the wine he was pouring me save for the fact it was Lebanese. They also don’t take cards- so cash only- which given the hassles of managing cash payments at present would have been a conscious decision as opposed to a lack of resources (I don’t really see the point of making a statement like this). Food was decent but not standout- a bit like going round to a friend’s house who’s a decent good amateur cook.
Not sure I’d recommend it.
