Millsy Really depends on the quality of the produce at the restaurant, specifically the meat for the BBQ. Also, how good the banchan is (free side dishes to accompany the meat - kimchi being the main one and sliced sweet radish). If one of these are bad, generally the overall experience is bad.
You can go with this order and you should be fine (donât go solo like a loser):
- Sam Gyaap Saal (Pork Belly for BBQ) - make sure they give you the sesame oil with salt to dip the cooked meat in
- Beef Bulgogi (Marinated - BBQ)
- Pork Japche (glass noodles + veggies + sesame oil)
- Bibimbap - (basically a DIY Korean rice dish, sort of like a mixed fried rice, I like this with beef)
- Kimchi Jigae (Korean Soup/Stew)
- Gimbap
There are two ways you can do this. Wrap the meat in a lettuce, add whatever side dish you want into the wrap and pop it in one shot. Or just pair the meat with the kimchi/sweet radish like a boss.
