Headed over to the Oakland Track for some tacos. El Paisa. Absolutely flawless. The 17 year old prostitutes were a rough beat but the tacos were excellent. I complain about living here from time to time but the cheap food is unassailable.
jonattonyeah they look immense, that chili sauce looks the bomb too.
Went here last night https://foursquare.com/v/agapia/4b6da3e3f964a5207f822ce3 ate a ton of mezze and got rat-arsed. Absolutely hanging this morning, could do with being airlifted off the mountain.
jonattonyeah looks boss.
LT42 looks boss.
LT42 that looks top. Yum
Shout out to Zenxi in Chelmsford. Best Oriental/ Chinese restaurant there. Comparable with Hakkasan but nowhere near as expensive. Had the seafood set menu with my wife last night đź‘Ś
alistair never been, but Driink across the road does the best coffee in Chelmsford by a long way
Dave is going to love that you went for the set menu at a Chinese restaurant in Chelmsford.
RichM would agree with that. A Canteen is excellent too
Crab, Lobster, Scallops, clams and prawns in a three courser 🔥
alistair Crab, Lobster, Scallops, clams and prawns
All in sweet & sour sauce?
Whenever the words Dave and China come together I think one thing and one thing only.
Wade-Giles transliteration!
No crab claws?
Mad_Cyril XO sauce or ginger scallion for me on seafood. Scrub that, plunge it all in Satay 🤣
alistair or with chips and a curry sauce
I’m sure that some of the finest Chinese chefs in the land thought that Chelmsford would be the perfect spot for the Hakkasan of Essex.
Along_the_Wire LOL
Along_the_Wire where would be the perfect spot for the Hakkasan of Essex?
hugopal nowhere, Essex is largely shit
Along_the_Wire nowhere, Essex is largely shit
Yes I’m aware it’s largely shit, but “the Hakkasan of Essex” would still have to be somewhere in Essex.
“The finest Chinese chefs in the land” couldn’t create “the Hakkasan of Essex” in Devon, for instance.
Along_the_Wire and where do you live? The Lake District?
This evening I shall be dining in back in time in Chelmsford. Not been there for at least 30 years and according to the web site, it looks exactly the same. Can’t imagine the menu has changed either
Christian excellent family restaurant. Kids love it
