benson glad you enjoyed it. It’s been years since I’ve been to a high end restaurant in london. I’ve been to claridges, Maze and Chelsea hospital restaurants of his over the years, and all very pleasant I guess. Personally I think there are so many fantastic restaurants at a third of the price that I would prefer to go to - Acme Cult, Som Saa, Tayyabs, Santo Remedio, Kiln, Chicks n sours etc etc.
Only 2 cuisines I would still pay big bucks for on a night out Is Japanese and steak.
I guess it’s not just the food, but the atmosphere of the place too? I’ve never been much of a fan sitting in some posh restaurant. I’ve always felt out of place!!
I’m off to Popeyes later as it has now opened up in Chelmsford. Not sure how good the wine menu is there
