jonattonyeah FVV is unrestricted. Knicks can sign him outright without a trade. No way they give up on RJ, even if his rookie season was a disappointment. I’d bet you sign Ibaka to a big one year deal and try to keep the books clear for a run at Giannis in 2021, as unlikely as that may be.

I didn’t realize Fred’s contract was up.

Barrett is the kind of player I think we need… Young, potential superstar in the making and Canadian to get the crowd even more behind him. His dad is well known in the Canadian basketball community and played with Steve Nash on the 2002 Olympics team that did well by Canadian standards. There’s been a lot of hype around him and Jamal Murray. There initially was for Wiggins too but he’s seemingly plateaued.

Wiggins is fine. The issue with him is the salary. He’s paid as a max player but he’s really just Harrison Barnes with bigger hands. If he’s not traded, we’ll see what he’s like on a team that knows how to play basketball (the Wolves do not know how to play NBA-level basketball). He’s a good playmaker and has the size to be a plus wing defender. He’s just not worth $30+M.

I was speaking more under the context of Canadian players being the next ‘superstar’ like Nash. Wiggins isn’t that guy even though he was hyped to be. I think Murray is well on his way and Barrett has that potential.

I hate Harden. Triple step backs and zero defense. What a contribution to the game. Nice trabbs for playing in though. Plus he has a lovely beard.

KD, Kyrie, and Harden on the same team. This isn’t 2K. And there’s only one ball. KD is also a weirdo, Kyrie an idiot, and Harden hasn’t made it work with anyone from Dwight to CP3 to Russ.

Cp3 to the suns apparently. The league’s littlest hobo. Harden, Durant and Irving sounds absolute crap tbh. One of them would flounce off mid season as they only had 50% of the play making or some equally dismal reason.

The pilot light isn’t on with Irving but he’s some player and great to watch.

Just seen The Bucks acquired Jrue Holiday. Shrewd.

          SM001

Not for what they gave up. A 2027 unprotected pick? Eh? Jrue is good but they gave up a ton of future assets. I just don’t see how a three of Giannis, Jrue, and Middleton puts them over the top. Not to mention Jrue has only one year left on his deal. Love the Bogdan deal, ’though.

Good trade for both sides. I think AH is still serviceable, just not when you’re playing him next to a C and two other PF’s, which is what the Sixers were doing. The Seth Curry pickup is also a good move. He’s a really good shooter who, like his brother, moves off-ball very well (creating space). Joel just needs to get in shape and BS needs to accept his role as Draymond 2.0 - brilliant playmaking non-shooting defensive monster.

Just learned Curry is Doc’s son in law.

LOL! Joel being given the trade information!

Rumors circulating about a Harden Simmons trade. I will be infinitely fucking pissed if that goes down.

            zackster

Why? BS and Embiid just clog the paint ’cause neither can shoot. I am no fan of Harden but he is one of the best offensive players ever. You stick him in a pick and roll with Embiid….there is no answer. None. It would be like Curry/Durant (never used enough by Kerr) but far bigger and more physical.

The only issue to me is personality fit.

Otherwise, surround those two with shooters like Seth and defensive monsters like Thybulle…….you could win the chip with no caveats and no questions.

I am convinced. Simmons shot. His form is terrible and he never tries in an actual game. I think Simmons is amazing. Just not with a gigantic Center piece (pun intended) already taking too much real estate. I think Simmons could do wonders as a Point Center with an up and down team. Sixers aren’t that.

Harden is infuriating. But him alongside Embiid, overpaid Tobias, Curry, and Thybulle, or Danny Green is a very good closing 5.
