  • Most Enduring Commercial Mix Comps

RichM Not sure I ever heard the mix, but have all the vinyl from these releases. Some great stuff on there.

zackster Haven’t listened to it in ages, but maybe got more listens than the album?

    Still listen to….

Tom Middleton - Sounds of the Cosmos
    EBTG - Back to mine
    Oakenfold - Ministry Sessions 2
David Harness - Nude Dimensions Vol 2
Holloway & Eastwick - Hard Times Seasons (Green)
    X Press 2 - Late night sessions

Smallman1 Oakey’s 007 is the compilation I most return to.

And without naming names, someone in this very thread hasn’t ever heard it, I’m staying schtum though!

I’ve genuinely listened to disc 2 of that about 4 times this week. I suspect you’ll struggle to process that information.

Amps I was joking as I don’t know RichM, so I didn’t want to bust his balls. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING has aged worse than mid 00s prog breaks.

Mad_Cyril This probably would have been 6 on my list. One of my all time favorites and I think it has held up wonderfully.

hugopal I’ve genuinely listened to disc 2 of that about 4 times this week. I suspect you’ll struggle to process that information.

Hugo, you’ve gone up in my estimation!

zackster I hear you, but there is still some proper gold there to be had. I was so bang into it at the time.

lol. here we go. he isn’t talking, but…

              • Dan replied to this.

Amps No doubt. I loved Phil K’s disc of that renaissance comp.

Mad_Cyril Tom Middleton - Sounds of the Cosmos

Good call that. Haven’t given it a go in ages but the triple LP was put to good use for warm up gigs back then. I can see it still standing up today.

My bird at the time loved “Misty Blu” or however it’s spelled.

EDIT looking now that’s one hellava tracklist. And I’ll ride for that sunglasses/blue Monday edit/mix. Cheesy, sure. Don’t care.

What a prog rollercoaster we’ve been on.

Wouldn’t change it for the world.

                Best. Genre. Ever.

Mad_Cyril Tom Middleton - Sounds of the Cosmos

Nice one, MC - I’m gonna fire up the hifi and stick the actual CD on today.
