  • Most Enduring Commercial Mix Comps

zackster I hear you, but there is still some proper gold there to be had. I was so bang into it at the time.

lol. here we go. he isn’t talking, but…

Amps No doubt. I loved Phil K’s disc of that renaissance comp.

Mad_Cyril Tom Middleton - Sounds of the Cosmos

Good call that. Haven’t given it a go in ages but the triple LP was put to good use for warm up gigs back then. I can see it still standing up today.

My bird at the time loved “Misty Blu” or however it’s spelled.

EDIT looking now that’s one hellava tracklist. And I’ll ride for that sunglasses/blue Monday edit/mix. Cheesy, sure. Don’t care.

What a prog rollercoaster we’ve been on.

Wouldn’t change it for the world.

      Best. Genre. Ever.

Nice one, MC - I’m gonna fire up the hifi and stick the actual CD on today.

Smallman1 I had my drugs epithany at the 2nd birthday, I think it was? Qued up for 2 hours to get in, I remember hearing Netherworld and The Arc by Arcane for the first time I thought the walls were caving in. Great times

Smallman1 I heard Sasha drop Ruhe’s Schiller in Sydney in 2004, again, mamma mia!

He played it in Fabric a couple of years ago. Magnificent record.

zackster agree a lot of it hasn’t aged well, but think that mix has, but I’m biased as have always loved it

The Coldcut and Josh Wink choices are great shouts.

The James Lavelle mix on the Tribal Gathering 96 comp is up there for me too

zackster I think about getting back into therapy, just to tell my analyst this story, and when I get to the “Danny Tenaglia just came on” part, he or she underlines “faggot” on their note pad while nodding.

          LOL 😆

Smallman1 way past his best. Like taking someone to see Chelsea and expecting the 2004-2005 vintage

Nothing commercial about these two but two all time faves of mine Totally different but just as good

My regular answer for best mix comp fits here too. Deep Dish - Yoshiesque.

Homegrove Seconded. That James Holden Balance was never out of the CD player for months - some mix that was
