BBC’s done a new six part Rebus-adaptation. It seems to be based on Ian Rankin’s first Rebus-novel Knots and Crosses, and airs on BBC in the spring. That way they can start with a younger guy (Richard Rankin) playing the detective as still a DS.
The John Hannah-version is a bit maligned because people felt he was too pretty, but I liked it more than the Ken Stott-one. Hannah-version also had James Cosmo as Cafferty, and I could not imagine anyone else when reading the books after seeing him in the role.
