Just finished Season 2. Best thing this year for me after then ending of Succession. Cinematogaphy, the execution of the action scenes, script (esp during action sequences) spot on. Lot of nods to Syriana and Sicairio, and for once the family scenes complement the unfolding drama well.

Was a bit disappointed with S2. Started strong but seemed to lose its way. Felt like the pacing was a bit off and the season finale with the cavalry arriving at the last second was cliche. S1 benefited from having more of an espionage feel, rather than S2’s war film tilt. Felt like it might have suffered from a budget increase that makes it easier to get away with lazier’ choices.

Have been quite enjoying Taylor Sheridan’s Landman, which is refreshingly different.

RichM Finished S2. Apparently they filmed S3 at the same time so you won’t have to wait too long. It’s good. There’s more psychology in this season which I like.

Just getting back to the Mayor of Kingstown, having watched the first 4 or 5 episodes of the first series a couple of years back. Absolute carnage.
